Summary

This study tested two online programs—cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness—to help adults cope with the distress caused by tinnitus (ringing in the ears). 67 participants were randomly assigned to CBT, mindfulness, or a waiting list. Both online treatments were found to be feasible and effective in reducing tinnitus-related stress compared to no treatment.
