What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
online cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
What this could lead to
If effective, this online program could offer a practical way to reduce stress and prevent depression, anxiety, and sleep problems in healthcare workers during crises.
What could go wrong
This is a completed trial with 156 participants, so results are limited in size and may not apply to all healthcare settings. Online CBT may not work for everyone, and long-term benefits are uncertain.
