One-Week radiation blitz aims to tame breast cancer
NCT ID NCT04509648
Summary
This study is testing a much shorter, one-week radiation treatment for breast cancer patients who need radiation to the breast area and nearby lymph nodes. The goal is to see if this condensed schedule is as effective at controlling the cancer while causing fewer side effects compared to traditional, longer courses of radiation. Researchers will follow 197 patients for five years to track cancer recurrence, survival, and quality of life.
