First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looked at two different techniques for creating a tunnel to the kidney during surgery to remove large kidney stones. Sixty adult patients were randomly assigned to receive either a one-shot dilation or a step-by-step serial dilation. The goal was to see which method is safer, faster, and leads to fewer complications and a shorter hospital stay.
