Anti-Nausea drug could make colonoscopy prep easier for kids
NCT ID NCT05439772
Summary
This study tested whether adding the anti-nausea medication ondansetron (Zofran) to standard bowel prep helps children complete their colonoscopy preparation more comfortably and effectively. Researchers compared children using just laxatives to those using laxatives plus ondansetron before their procedure. The goal was to see if reducing nausea helps kids finish the prep liquid, leading to a cleaner colon for better examination.
