Study tests simpler treatment for dangerous lung infections
NCT ID NCT07095361
Summary
This study aims to find out if giving medication once a day through a chest tube works just as well as giving it twice a day for treating serious infections around the lungs. Researchers will randomly assign 270 hospitalized adults with these infections to receive the medication either once or twice daily. The main goal is to see if both approaches are equally effective at clearing the infection and preventing the need for surgery.
