Study tests if one dose daily works as well as two for serious lung infections
NCT ID NCT07095361
Summary
This study aims to find out if giving medication once a day works just as well as twice a day for treating serious infections in the fluid around the lungs. Researchers will compare outcomes in 270 hospitalized adults who receive the medication through a chest tube either once or twice daily. The main goal is to see if the once-daily approach reduces the need for surgery or death within 90 days as effectively as the standard twice-daily treatment.
