New hope for kids with devastating brain cancer: first human trial of promising drug begins

Summary
This is a first-in-human study to find the safest dose of a new oral drug called ONC206 for children and young adults with aggressive brain tumors, including a type called diffuse midline glioma (DMG). The trial will test the drug alone or in combination with radiation therapy in different groups of patients. The main goals are to understand the drug's side effects, how it moves through the body, and to see if it shows early signs of helping to control the cancer.
