First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a flaxseed supplement (rich in omega-3) can improve pain and gut health in children with sickle cell disease. About 20 children aged 5–18 will eat flaxseed daily for several weeks. Researchers will track how easy it is to stick with the supplement and whether pain and quality of life improve.
