Summary
This study tested a new medicine called olpasiran in 281 adults with high levels of lipoprotein(a), a genetic risk factor for heart disease. Participants received either the drug or a placebo as a shot under the skin. The main goal was to see if olpasiran could safely lower lipoprotein(a) levels over 36 weeks.
