Study reveals hidden impact of breathing disorder in obesity

NCT ID NCT06142513

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study looked at 64 obese adults to see if having obesity hypoventilation syndrome (OHS) adds extra problems beyond obesity alone. Researchers measured how far people could walk in 6 minutes, their muscle strength, and their quality of life. The goal was to understand if OHS makes exercise and daily life harder for people who are already obese.
