First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looked at whether active nutritional support can lower the chance of painful mouth sores (mucositis) and improve quality of life in people with head and neck cancer who are getting radiation therapy. 47 newly diagnosed adults took part. Researchers tracked weight and body mass index to see if nutrition helped. The goal was to find a simple way to make treatment easier to tolerate.
