Could a simple numbing cream boost recovery after spinal injury?
NCT ID NCT05589402
Summary
This study is testing if applying an over-the-counter numbing cream to strong arm muscles during exercise can help improve strength and sensation in paralyzed muscles for people with spinal cord injuries. Researchers are enrolling 30 participants to see if this temporary numbing technique makes rehabilitation exercises more effective. The goal is to find a simple, non-invasive way to enhance recovery from spinal cord injury and stroke.
