First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study will compare two noninvasive methods—electrical cardiometry and echocardiography—for measuring how well the heart pumps blood in 100 adults with septic shock. The goal is to see if electrical cardiometry can be a reliable, easier-to-use alternative for monitoring these critically ill patients. Participants must be over 18 and diagnosed with septic shock; those with certain heart conditions or poor ultrasound images will be excluded.
