First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study will compare two noninvasive methods—electrical cardiometry and echocardiography—for measuring how well the heart pumps blood in people with septic shock. Researchers want to see if the simpler electrical method can be a reliable alternative to ultrasound. The study will involve 100 adults diagnosed with septic shock.
