First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tested a non-thermal plasma device to see if it can help heal mouth ulcers faster and reduce pain. Fifty adults with recurrent mouth ulcers were randomly assigned to receive plasma, standard laser therapy, or a placebo. Researchers measured ulcer size, pain levels, and healing time to see if plasma offers a better option.
