Ear zap may tune heart's rhythm, tiny study suggests
NCT ID NCT05350150
First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether a non-invasive device that stimulates the vagus nerve through the ear can change the heart's electrical signals. Ten adults already scheduled for a heart procedure will receive the stimulation while doctors measure various heart timing intervals. The goal is to learn how this nerve stimulation affects heart conduction, not to treat any condition.
