Summary
This study aims to develop a blood test that can determine the father of a fetus using a sample of the mother's blood. It is designed for victims of sexual assault who become pregnant and need to know paternity. The test analyzes tiny pieces of the baby's DNA found in the mother's bloodstream. The study will enroll 60 pregnant women and their potential fathers to see if the test works accurately between 6 and 22 weeks of pregnancy.
