Sticky patch could replace painful blood tests for heart surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT06597253
Summary
This study is testing a new, painless skin sensor that measures lactate levels without needles. It will be worn by 20 patients recovering from elective heart bypass or valve surgery for up to 14 hours. The goal is to see if the sensor's readings match those from standard blood tests, which could reduce the need for frequent blood draws and improve patient comfort during recovery.
