New scan could end surgery for endometriosis diagnosis

Summary
This study tests whether a total-body PET/CT scan can spot endometriosis without needing surgery. About 30 women with suspected endometriosis will get two scans using special tracers that highlight bleeding and scarring. The scan results will be compared to findings from their planned surgery to see if the scan can reliably detect the disease.
