First seen Apr 29, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study is testing a simple device with motion sensors placed on a child's chest and belly to measure how well their breathing is coordinated. The goal is to see if it can detect breathing problems early, even before they are obvious to doctors. About 20 children aged 28 days to 17 years, with or without breathing distress, will take part at Massachusetts General Hospital.
