Low-Dose radiation plus immunotherapy shows promise for tough colon cancers

NCT ID NCT07279077

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach for people with a hard-to-treat type of colon cancer (pMMR/MSS). The treatment combines low-dose radiation (sparing lymph nodes), chemotherapy, and an immunotherapy drug (PD-1 inhibitor) before surgery. The goal is to see if this combination can make the tumor disappear completely before surgery, improving outcomes. About 38 adults with high-risk, locally advanced colon cancer will participate.
