Ovarian cancer study aims for zero colostomy bags
NCT ID NCT07213193
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study looks at whether women with advanced ovarian cancer who are at low risk for complications can safely avoid a temporary colostomy bag after part of their bowel is removed during surgery. The goal is to see if a 'no-stoma' approach is feasible without increasing dangerous leaks from the bowel connection. About 395 participants will be followed to compare their outcomes with published data.
