First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This study looked at whether giving nitrous oxide (laughing gas) during a spine procedure called vertebroplasty could reduce pain and the need for morphine afterward. It included 39 adults who were already taking opioid pain medications for more than a month. The goal was to see if the gas could help manage pain better after surgery.
