Gas test aims to shield vessels in High-Risk heart ops
NCT ID NCT03748082
Summary
This was an add-on study to a larger trial testing whether inhaling nitric oxide gas during and after heart surgery helps protect patients' blood vessels. It aimed to understand how the gas works, specifically looking at patients with existing blood vessel problems who needed very long surgeries using a heart-lung machine. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
