Summary

This study looked at whether using a mouth rinse with added nitrates changes the types of bacteria living in your mouth. Twenty-one healthy adults used either a nitrate rinse or plain water once daily for two weeks. Researchers then compared the bacteria in their mouths before and after to see if the rinse made a difference.
