First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether a supplement called nicotinamide riboside (NR) could help repair nerve damage in people with type 2 diabetes or prediabetes. The goal was to see if NR could increase nerve fiber density in the skin, a sign of healthier nerves. The study was stopped early and only enrolled 10 participants, so results are limited.
