New toolkit aims to make exercise safer for type 1 diabetes

Summary

This study tests a toolkit that gives personalized advice on when to exercise, adjust insulin, and eat carbs to keep blood sugar stable. Twenty adults with type 1 diabetes will try three different pre-exercise plans, including one guided by the toolkit. The goal is to see if the toolkit reduces low blood sugar risk during and after exercise.
