NCT ID NCT05267613

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study looks at whether two different doses of Nexium can safely keep the esophagus healed in children aged 1 to 11 who have erosive esophagitis. About 53 kids will take part, first in an 8-week healing phase, then a 16-week maintenance phase. The main goal is to check if the esophagus stays healed using a camera test (endoscopy) and to see how often rescue medication is needed.
