New wound wash could speed ulcer healing

Summary
This study tests a new liquid treatment for chronic wounds like leg and foot ulcers. The goal is to clean the wound by removing dead tissue and bacteria, which may help it heal. About 80 people aged 60 and older will be randomly assigned to get either the new treatment or a standard gel. The study lasts 4 weeks and involves 11 visits to measure wound size, bacteria, and pain.
