New combo therapy aims to wipe out rectal tumors before surgery

Summary
This study tests whether adding the drug SHR-1701 to standard chemoradiotherapy can completely eliminate advanced rectal cancer before surgery. About 48 adults with severe rectal cancer will receive the drug combination, then undergo surgery to remove any remaining tumor. The main goal is to see if no cancer cells are left after treatment.
