Could a simple drink help spot pancreatic cancer sooner?

NCT ID NCT03460769

Summary

This study aims to develop a better test for diagnosing a specific type of diabetes caused by pancreatic cancer or chronic pancreatitis. Researchers will give participants a standardized meal drink and then measure hormone levels in their blood to see how the pancreas responds. The goal is to find patterns that distinguish this pancreas-related diabetes from the more common type 2 diabetes.
