Could a simple stool test replace some colonoscopies?
NCT ID NCT07471490
Summary
This study is testing a new stool test to see if it can accurately tell the difference between inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It involves 300 people who are already scheduled for a colonoscopy as part of their regular care. The goal is to see if this test could help doctors make a diagnosis without needing as many invasive procedures.
