Could a simple blood test save lives from deadly infection shock?
NCT ID NCT07203833
Summary
This study aims to find a better way to quickly diagnose septic shock, a life-threatening complication of infection. Researchers will measure levels of a protein called Vasorin in the blood of 144 intensive care patients with different types of shock. They want to see if Vasorin levels can tell septic shock apart from other shocks and predict which patients are at highest risk of complications or death.
