Targeted radiation blast tested for tough pancreatic tumors

NCT ID NCT07173374

Summary

This early-stage study is testing the safety of a new, highly focused radiation technique called SCART for people with locally advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot be surgically removed. The goal is to see if delivering a very high dose of radiation directly to the center of the tumor is safe and tolerable for patients. Researchers will gradually increase the radiation dose in small groups of patients to find the highest dose that does not cause severe side effects.
