New tech targets deadly lung clots with lower bleeding risk
NCT ID NCT06310018
Summary
This study is testing a new, lower-dose method to treat serious blood clots in the lungs (pulmonary embolism). Doctors use a catheter and ultrasound waves to deliver a small dose of a clot-busting drug directly to the clot. The goal is to clear the clot and improve heart function while trying to reduce the risk of dangerous bleeding, which is a common side effect of standard treatments.
