Summary

This study is testing a new, portable scanning device to improve the diagnosis of sarcopenia, the age-related loss of muscle mass and strength. Researchers will use the device on 846 hospitalized patients aged 75 and older who are suspected of having this condition. The goal is to see if this non-invasive technology can provide a faster, more complete diagnosis than current methods.
