New muscle scanner aims to spot frailty faster in seniors

Summary
This study is testing a new, portable device that uses a sticker-like sensor to measure muscle signals. The goal is to create a better, easier way to diagnose sarcopenia, which is age-related muscle loss that leads to weakness and loss of independence. Researchers will enroll 846 hospitalized patients aged 75 and over who are suspected of having this condition to see if the device's readings match up with current tests and patient outcomes.
