New MRI scan could cut stroke imaging time in half
NCT ID NCT07199920
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This pilot study will test a new, faster MRI technique called Magnetic Resonance Fingerprinting (MRF) in 10 people who had a stroke within the last 15 days. Standard MRI takes 20-25 minutes, but MRF can capture multiple images in a single, quick sequence. The goal is to see if these faster images are clear enough for doctors to use, which could help speed up stroke treatment and improve recovery.
