New hope for adults fighting aggressive leukemia

Summary
This study is testing the safety and effectiveness of a new drug, recombinant Erwinia asparaginase, when combined with standard chemotherapy for adults with newly diagnosed, high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia or lymphoblastic lymphoma. The trial will enroll 53 adults aged 18-54 to see if this specific drug combination can better control the cancer and is safe to use. The main goals are to measure side effects, especially liver issues, and to see how well the treatment puts the cancer into remission.
