Scientists hunt for hidden clues to spot kidney damage before It's too late
NCT ID NCT00026702
Summary
This study aimed to discover proteins or other substances in blood and urine that appear when a person's kidneys are damaged but not when they are healthy. Researchers enrolled 226 adults and children, including healthy volunteers, people at risk for kidney failure, and those with existing kidney problems. By comparing samples from these different groups, they hoped to create new tests that could detect kidney failure much earlier, allowing for faster treatment.
