New Vision-Saving injection challenges standard wet AMD treatment

Summary
This study is testing whether a new eye injection called tiespectus (EYE201/MK-8748) works as well as the standard treatment aflibercept for wet age-related macular degeneration. Researchers will enroll 960 people who haven't received treatment for their wet AMD before. The trial will compare how much vision improves with the new injection versus the standard treatment over one year.
