New hope for stubbornly high cholesterol

NCT ID NCT07404553

Summary

This study is testing a new drug called SHR-1918 for adults with high cholesterol that remains too high despite taking two types of standard medications (statins and PCSK9 inhibitors). Researchers will give 126 participants either the new drug or a placebo (inactive shot) to see if it safely lowers 'bad' cholesterol (LDL-C) over 12 and 24 weeks. The goal is to see if this new option can help people who don't get enough benefit from current treatments.
