Gentler anesthetic tested for delicate heart procedures
NCT ID NCT05881291
Summary
This study tested a new anesthetic drug called ciprofol during a minimally invasive heart valve replacement procedure. Researchers compared it to the standard drug propofol in 124 older patients to see if ciprofol causes fewer drops in blood pressure after patients are put to sleep. The goal was to find a safer option for patients undergoing this delicate surgery.
