Zapping the brain to unlock words after stroke

Summary
This study tests a new therapy for people with aphasia (trouble speaking or understanding language) after a stroke. It uses a gentle electrical current (tACS) on the scalp while the person practices naming pictures. The goal is to see if this brain stimulation, combined with language exercises, improves word-finding ability more than exercises alone. The study will enroll 64 adults with aphasia caused by a left-brain stroke.
