Can common eye drops save your sight in new ways?

NCT ID NCT07074782

First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a common type of glaucoma eye drop (prostaglandin analogues) can protect the eye's nerve cells directly, not just by lowering eye pressure. Researchers will review medical records from 1500 adults with glaucoma over 3 years. They will compare those using prostaglandin drops to those using other pressure-lowering drops to see if there is extra nerve protection.
