First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a special PET scan can detect inflammation in the brain caused by autoimmune encephalitis, a condition where the immune system attacks the brain. Researchers will compare scan results from 40 patients with the condition to those from healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if this imaging method can help doctors better understand and monitor the disease.
