Summary
This study tests whether a special PET scan tracer called [18F]-DPA-714 can detect brain inflammation in people with autoimmune encephalitis (AE). Researchers will compare scans from 40 newly diagnosed AE patients to healthy volunteers. If the tracer works well, it could become a new tool for diagnosing and tracking this rare brain condition.
