First seen Feb 14, 2026 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at how a mother's emotional well-being during pregnancy might influence her baby's brain development when the baby has a serious heart condition. Researchers will follow 174 mothers and their babies from the third trimester until the child is one year old. No treatments or interventions are given—the goal is simply to understand the connection between prenatal mental health and later neurodevelopment.
