New immunotherapy combo could shrink colon tumors before surgery

Summary
This study tests whether giving two immunotherapy drugs (botensilimab and balstilimab) before surgery can shrink tumors and improve outcomes for people with advanced colon or rectal cancer that can be removed. About 100 adults with stage IIB to IIIC colorectal cancer will receive these drugs before their planned surgery. The goal is to see if this approach helps more patients stay cancer-free for two years compared to standard treatment.
